VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – 16U Tier II USA Hockey National Championships - March 30-April 3, 2023
Amherst Youth Hockey will be hosting the 2023 Boys 16U Tier II USA Hockey National Championship Tournament. Beginning March 30th, forty teams from across the United States will converge on the Northtown Center in search of a national championship.
Please consider volunteering! It really is a blast! Shifts are around 3 hours long. If you can help, you will be keeping an eye on the rinks, greeting people and making sure players, parents and fans enjoy their tournament experience. There are a limited amount of community service hours available to high school and college students. You will even receive a hoodie for helping us out!!!
New this year, all volunteers must complete USA Hockey Safe Sport training, so please volunteer early so that we can get you credentialed. If you are a coach or manger, you most likely have already completed this training.
The schedule is as follows:
Thursday, March 30 th : 8:30-11:30; 11:30-2:30; 2:30-5:30 and 5:30-9:00.
Friday, March 31 st : 9:00-12:00; 12:00-3:00; 3:00-6:00 and 6:00-8:30.
Saturday, April 1: 9:30-12:00; 12:00-3:00; 3:00-6:00 and 6:00-9:00.
Sunday, April 2: 8:30-11:30; 11:30-2:30 and (there is a gap) 3:30-8:30 (working part of this shift is fine).
Monday, April 3: Championships: 8:30, 10:00 and 11:00 am.

Amherst Youth Hockey is proud to announce that it will be hosting the USA Hockey 16U Boys Tier II National Tournament this year. Beginning March 30th, 40 hockey teams from across the United States, along with their friends and families, will converge on the Northtown Center in Amherst, in search of a National Championship.
It is truly an exciting time for these players as well as our organization, and you can join in the excitement by placing an ad in our Program Book. The Program Book is given to every participant in the tournament and is available at the rink to all who attend. All proceeds from the Program Book and tournament will directly benefit Amherst Youth Hockey and its participants.
The process is simple--just follow the directions on the Sponsorship Form. Completed forms, along with your ad in .jpeg format, should be sent to Ed Guzdek at friendsofayh@gmail.com, by March 15, 2023. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ed at 716-435-6312.

RE: Amherst Youth Hockey Notice of Board of Directors
Pursuant to the by-laws of Amherst Youth Hockey, Inc., elections for the following executive committee board of director positions will occur at the AYH annual meeting which will be held at a date and location to be determined:
- PRESIDENT
- REGISTRAR
These member(s) will serve the upcoming 2023-2024 season as 'elect' officers as they gain knowledge and experience associated with these positions. The three-year term will be served from the beginning of the 2024-25 season to the conclusion of the 2026-27 season.
If interested in applying for either position, please contact Joe Spano,

Announcing New Registration
AYH SPRING 2023
3v3 CROSS-ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE

Amherst Youth Hockey is proud to announce the return of our Spring 3v3 Cross-Ice Hockey League. This league is ideal for players looking to further develop their skills, including shooting, passing, conditioning, and hockey intelligence. The 3v3 cross-ice format will encourage players to play at a quicker pace and make real-time decisions while emphasizing Spring hockey fun. All games are non-checking, which encourages skill development and fast action shifts.
During the 8-week, all-Sunday season, each team will participate in 2 games per session, approximately 30 minutes per game, resulting in a 16-game season. League games will be used to seed teams for the final playoff game. Teams will consist of approximately 9 skaters and 1 goalie. Registration also includes an AYH 3v3 League hockey jersey.
Our goal is simple: create a fun and competitive environment where players can develop their skills in fast-paced game scenarios. This is an opportunity for players to get excited about scoring goals, creating opportunities, making game-altering saves, and teamwork.
Amherst Youth Hockey’s 3v3 Cross-Ice Hockey League season begins on Sunday, April 2nd, and runs through Sunday, June 11th. (No games on Easter Sunday, Mother’s Day, or Memorial Day Weekend.) Registrations are limited, enroll today!!
