For the 2022-2023 Season, our 12U, 14U, MOHL League teams will practice and play home games at the Northtown Center in Amherst and participate in games throughout the Western New York region. Our 12U House Teams will play in the Western New York Amateur Hockey League in the MOHL Division (Multi Organization House League). The 14U MOHL team will play an independent schedule against teams throughout the region. The coaching staff has the ability to schedule games that fit the competitive skill level of each individual team. Teams will also be encouraged to participate in tournament play, at the coaching staff’s discretion. If your child is registering and desires to be a full-time goalie please indicate where appropriate during the registration process, as we anticipate limited spots.

AYH House Program Guidelines
1) Team Selection Guidelines:
-
Selection of recreational House Teams will be made based on a “blind draft”.
-
AYH Level Convenors will NOT be appointed at the same level which they can coach within.
-
Coaches and Asst. Coach's children will be placed on the team that they coach if the Coaches are registered as such with AYH. Coach’s children will be treated uniformly as a specific round during the draft choices so that no one team can enjoy an advantage over another.
2) Team Assessments:
-
Individual Teams may ask for a small assessment to cover the costs of Team parties, Canadian Friendship Tournament, Top Gun Tournament, gifts, etc., all for the player's benefit.
No refunds will be granted after a player is assigned to an AYH House team
3) Registration Payments:
-
A $25 returned check fee will be assessed for returned checks. This fee will need to be paid before the player returns to the ice.
-
No player will be allowed to practice or participate without full registration fee payment prior to the due date, and receipt of all fully completed registration documents.
-
No player will be allowed to play outside their respective USA Hockey Age Grouping (unless they receive written AYH Board and USA Hockey Approval). All ages are based on CALENDAR YEAR.
-
No player will be registered without all of the above conditions being met. Registration may become limited based on ice and team availability. If this occurs, eligibility will be determined by the date of registration of all required information, and payment in full.
-
All registrations will be based upon AYH Program availability only.
-
Registration is based on a first come-first serve basis, so register as soon as the AYH online Registration is available.
-
You will receive an e-mail receipt.
4) Evaluations:
-
You will be contacted in early September regarding on-ice evaluations. They are usually held a week before the season starts.
-
The Novice and Micron programs do not hold evaluations. These programs will begin in early October.
5) Ice Times:
-
Ice times are typically twice a week. At the beginning of the season, there are usually two practices per week; later in the season, there is one practice and one game. The exception to this rule is the Mite level, they are on the ice 3 days a week: once during the weekend and both days on the weekend.
